The annual Black Forest Festival, sponsored by the Black Forest Community Club, will be held this year on Saturday, August 13, 2011. This highly successful community event draws crowds, not only from the Black Forest, but the greater Colorado Springs area. There will be vendor and food booths, games for the kids and many other surprises.
Fun for the whole family
Jon Karroll, news anchor at KRDO TV, channel 13, will be the parade emcee.
Also featured will be the Air Force Academy Blue Steel popular music ensemble of the United States Air Force Academy Band. Playing pop music, classic rock, country music and original compositions.
There will be vendor and food booths, games for the kids and many other surprises. Fun for the whole family. The festival runs until 3:00pm. To ease the parking and traffic situation, shuttle service will be available for offsite parking. The Black Forest Festival is located at the corner of Black Forest and Shoup roads.
