The Black Forest Community Club Festival Committee has arranged for off-site parking and shuttle service for the August 18th Festival.
Off-Site parking will be designated at the gravel lot on the northeast corner of Burgess and Black Forest Road. Continuous shuttle service between that area and the festival site at Shoup and Black Forest Road will be available from 8 AM to 3 PM.
The Festival parade will kick-off at 10:30 AM progressing west on Shoup Road from the bridge between Herring and Black Forest Road then turning north on Black Forest Road to White Fir Lane Road. The parade will entail some road closures as shown below. So, the off-site parking area will be a convenient parking location especially when Black Forest Road and Shoup are blocked off prior to the parade start. Expect the following road closures and approximate times to accommodate the parade formation and execution:
Shoup from Herring to Black Forest Road: 9:30 AM to Approx. Noon
Shoup from Holmes to Black Forest Road: 10:30 to end of parade (approx. 11:30 AM)
Black Forest Road from Juniper to Shoup: 10:30 to end of parade
Black Forest Road from Brentwood to Shoup: 10:30 to end of parade
If you are approaching the Festival area and find the road closed, drive over to Black Forest and Burgess, park your car and catch the shuttle into the Festival area. You may also want to park there at any time the close-in area is full with no parking spaces available.
There will also be shuttle service for parade participants before and after the parade. This service will cover the parade route between Herring and White Fir Lane from approximately 8:30 AM to noon.
